導人向善 (from April 17, 07)

問: 宗教都是導人向善的, 所以信什麽都無所謂, 不是麽?

答: 錯. 不但錯, 而且是一錯再錯.

a) 宗教不一定都導人向善. 君不見古今中外的異端邪説如何妖言惑衆?

b) 即便宗教都是導人向善, 也不代表它們都是真理. 人找尋宗教, 是爲了得來生的盼望. 不能給人來生的把握的宗教, 都是枉然.

再説, 耶穌基督也不是導人向善. 至少祂的焦點並不放在"善"上.

其他宗教所鼓吹的行善積德, 耶穌從來沒有提起過. "因為, 耶和華不像人看人: 人是看外貌； 耶和華是看內心." (撒上 十六:7)

耶穌基督所作的, 是導人向愛. "因為神就是愛." (約一 四:8)

"神愛世人, 甚至將祂的獨生子賜給他們, 叫一切信祂的, 不至滅亡, 反得永生." (約 三:16)

"我若能說萬人的方言, 並天使的話語, 卻沒有愛, 我就成了鳴的鑼, 響的鈸一般. 我若有先知講道之能, 也明白各樣的奧祕, 各樣的知識, 而且有全備的信, 叫我能夠移山, 卻沒有愛, 我就算不得甚麼. 我若將所有的賙濟窮人, 又捨己身叫人焚燒, 卻沒有愛, 仍然與我無益." (林前 十三:1-3)

"主為我們捨命, 我們從此就知道何為愛; 我們也當為弟兄捨命. 凡有世上財物的, 看見弟兄窮乏, 卻塞住憐恤的心, 愛神的心怎能存在他裡面呢? 小子們哪, 我們相愛, 不要只在言語和舌頭上, 總要在行為和誠實上." (約一 三:16-18)

"親愛的弟兄阿, 我們應當彼此相愛, 因為愛是從神來的. 凡有愛心的, 都是由神而生, 並且認識神. 沒有愛心的, 就不認識神, 因為神就是愛. 神差祂獨生子到世間來, 使我們藉著祂得生, 神愛我們的心在此就顯明了. 不是我們愛神, 乃是神愛我們, 差祂的兒子為我們的罪作了挽回祭, 這就是愛了. 親愛的弟兄阿, 神既是這樣愛我們, 我們也當彼此相愛. 從來沒有人見過神, 我們若彼此相愛, 神就住在我們裡面, 愛祂的心在我們裡面得以完全了." (約一 四:7-12)

"我賜給你們一條新命令, 乃是叫你們彼此相愛; 我怎樣愛你們, 你們也要怎樣相愛. 你們若有彼此相愛的心, 眾人因此就認出你們是我的門徒了." (約 十三:34-35)

Wilson: You don't want a healthy leg.

House (rolling his eyes): Oh here we go.

Wilson: If you've got a good life, if you're healthy, you've got no reason to bitch, no reason to hate life.

House: Well here's the flaw in your argument: If I enjoy hating life, I don't hate life, I enjoy it.

Wilson: I didn't say it was rational.

(They stop walking.)

Wilson: HIV testing is 99% accurate, which means there are some people who test positive, who live with their own impending doom for months, or years, before finding out everything's OK. Weirdly, most of them don't react with happiness, or even anger. They get depressed. Not because they wanted to die, but because they've defined themselves by their disease. Suddenly, what made them them, isn't real.

House: I don't define myself by my leg.

Wilson (laughs): No, you have taken it one step further. The only way you could come to terms with your disability, was to somehow make it mean nothing. So you had to redefine everything. You have dismissed anything physical. Anything not coldly, calculatingly intellectual.

Ring-shopping

I hate ring-shopping.

I hate house-shopping.

I thought car-shopping was bad. But it's nothing compared to those two.

Had another strange dream this morning, when I went back to sleep after waking up.

I'll share the details on a more individual basis.

For now... whatever. I'm happy where I am.

Banking

What kind of relationship do we have with our banks?

Banks provide services.

We use their services.

We are the customers.

They serve us.

So why does it feel like they're trying to rip us off sometimes?

We leave our money at their disposal. They already make money off of our money.

So why does it feel like they're trying to penalize rather than serve sometimes?

Thankful

Trying not to worry.

Been so overwhelmed of late.

Really didn't need this to happen today.

All I can do now is trust in the Lord. Believe that He's still in control.
